Before Pregnancy
The Webster Technique:
• Optimizes balance and
symmetry of the pelvis
• Aligns the spine
• Improves nervous system
function
For The Fetus
The Webster Technique:
• Improves the baby’s
development and removes
nerve interference
• Allows the baby room to
move and develop without
restricting the formation
of the cranium, spine and
skeletal structures
• Offers the baby room to
move into the best possible
position for birth
• Improves fetal positioning,
which decreases the
chance of trauma during birth
What symptoms can be relieved?
• Low back pain
• Mid-back pain
• Hip pain
• Pelvic pain
• Urinary discomfort
During Pregnancy
The Webster Technique:
• Can prevent or correct a breech presentation
• Prepares the pelvis for an easier pregnancy
• Removes tension on the ligaments that support the uterus, restoring the egg-shaped design
• Improves nervous system function
• Reduces low back pain
• Allows for a safer, easier birth by
decreasing the potential for manual intervention
• Is a good option for high risk and multiple birth pregnancies
Why is my baby breech?
There can be many reasons for a breech baby but the most common cause is a constrained uterus. The uterus is normally egg-shaped. The heaviest part of the baby is the head. Put these two factors together and the baby will naturally turn head-down.
Baby In Breech Position
Head-down is a very comfortable and "roomy" position for the baby. When the uterus is constrained and the pelvic ligaments are tight, the shape of the uterus is no longer optimum. The baby will find more space and comfort in non vertex or non head-down positions.
